A consideration of the basics, including definitions of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice, and the national picture, sources of information and recent developments.
Delegates will be given the tools to evaluate their school’s SEND provision and consider strategic leadership, accountability, structures and processes and people management.

Every Board of Governors is responsible for holding leaders to account for the education of learners with SEND.
This session aims to help Boards to effectively deliver on this responsibility to ensure that all Boards have a positive impact in their setting with regards to outcomes for learners with SEND.
