Training objectives
A person centred approach encourages and supports everyone to be the best that they can be, ensures everyone has a voice, and puts the young person at the centre of the planning and decision making process. We believe that a Person Centred Approach will empower children and Young People to have more of an influence over their lives

A person centred approach is fundamentally about personal advocacy - hearing the voice of the child/young person - and hearing it differently.

This training explores how gathering information about what motivates a child/young person to learn and get involved in activities can help us to develop our services and education programmes.

Learning outcomes
The training will support attendees to:

•       Understand what it means to work in a person centred way

•       Increase confidence for taking on the facilitator role

•       Explore and develop an understanding of the ‘Listen to Me’ booklet and model of review

Practise key facilitation skills, giving you the tools to facilitate Person Centred Reviews.
