These termly conferences are open to SENDCOs, Behaviour Support Leads, Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers from all Teaching Schools South West member schools.


08.45 | Welcome from the Inclusion Forum Steering Group.

09.00 | Social Emotional Mental Health & Well-being | Martha Hancock, Wellbeing Project Coordinator, Exeter YMCA. An explanation of the Wellbeing Project and how schools can access the service.

09.30 | Tracking and Assessment of SEND | Tanya Haigh, SEND Adviser, Babcock LDP SEND Data and Assessment Team. The principles around tracking progress, recommendations for good practice and the implications specifically for SEND learners.

10.00 | Grab a coffee then into breakout groups for a discussion around tracking and assessment.

10.30 | SW Specialist Schools Teaching Alliance (SW SSTA) | Robyn Emmerson, Lead for SW SSTA. Overview of the services and professional development available for schools including the Engagement Model training.

11.00 | DIAS for Special Educational Needs and Disability | Sue Brealey, Information Advice and Support Lead, DIAS. Overview of services, how they work with parents, carers, children and young people and what advice they can offer.

11.30 | Supporting Domestic Violence | Maddie Hughes, Domestic Violence Early Help Connector Exeter, Devon Domestic Abuse Support Service, Splitz Support Service. Support available for children and families experiencing domestic violence.

12.00 | Finish
